Happy New Year, I’m back!

7 Jan

Hello everyone!

I’m, finally, back… and with a bunch of posts lined up for you in the near future- ready to show you, guys, the geeky stuff I’ve gotten. On that note: I’m sorry I was MIA for a while; I had my birthday, got an internship, some events, and then there was the madness that we call holidays. It has been a weird and fast-paced couple of months, but I got to be artsy and juice it.

2014 started off well, and I decided that my first read of the year will be, *drum roll*, Harry Potter (the whole series).

I’m reading this for so many reasons. First and foremost I need to reboot my reading-I’ve been barely reading since I graduated; and what better way to do it than with the best series ever, my constant companion while growing up, Harry Potter.

In between books, when they were still coming out, I would read the rest all the time in between, but I haven’t read the books again after finishing the series. I’m coming back to them with so many expectations, wondering if it will still sway me; and scared as well-I hope growing up didn’t turn me into a muggle. Yet then I think of all the ways in which Harry Potter is still always present in my day-to-day life and that fear fades away. I’m actually starting to get the tingles of excitement.

It’s also very special because it will be the first time I read the whole series in just English. I’m curious if that will make some things different this time around. I’m so excited!

Come with me, friends, on this journey I decide to take again. Share the magic with me! ♥

Now tell me: what will your first book of the year be?

Geek out,
Nerdy Faery

I am going to start 2014 with a classic: Dune by Frank Herbert. Good luck with Mister Potter! I prefer it in the original language.

So far, me too– it is simply magical all in one language. Happy reading! I have heard it is a good book. (:

I’m planning on picking up Harry Potter as well. I’ve already placed it beside my bed.
