Sailor Moon Crystal: New Character Designs

30 Apr

PGSM

Hello Guys! Have you been to the official PGSM Site? They have the model designs for the characters in the new upcoming Sailor Moon anime “SAILOR MOON CRYSTAL”; which is set to air on July 5th at 7pm (Japan). It looks as if they took them all straight out of the manga, stylized them a little bit and voila! They look amazing and so beautiful, I cannot wait until we get more sneak peaks.

What do you think? Do they not look great? I know there are some people complaining that they liked the old anime version better, but I am stoked with these- they look so delicate. I wonder how much they will stick to the manga story line or if they will play fast and loose with it. Either way I will be happy. *Insert super-excited fangirly screams*

Have you, guys, also checked out all the amazing merchandise that has been coming out to celebrate PGSM’s 20th Anniversary? There are some amazingly pretty gashapons, figurines, statues, brooches,… that all of us should get our hands on. Get them before ebay sellers jack up the price! Sailor Moon Collectibles has gathered up a list of all products and where to get them along with the price tags, hope you find it useful.

Life, Work… Shenanigans!

20 Mar

Hello World!

I have been writing, drawing, working, and going over things in my head to make this blog something solid– yet, here I am, with exactly what I started with.

So in the midst of a new rejection letter I decided to celebrate today: what if I just stop worrying so much about how things should and will be, why not just do? Why should I be worrying about things that are absolutely out of my grasp? Right?… I decided to keep doing my best to be someone in life, whatever that means and whoever that will be, and just enjoy the time I have in my hands and make the best use of it. *smiley face* It is harder than it should, since school conditioned me to feel as if there is something approaching the corner that I could never be ready enough for.

But enough about that. Since I don’t know how I can un-broaden everything I love and plan to talk about, why don’t I give you, guys, a glimpse of who I am and what lies inside this TARDIS brain of mine. I want to share with you the things I like and am passionate about, and, hopefully, hear what you like– your likes, suggestions on new things to try (keep it clean, guys! mind out of the gutter :p), new materials to read, DIY projects, whatever… So, here it goes… I dunno if I should make it a list or just a new paragraph.

I love art, as I believe you might have seen– from classics to cartoons; I love seeing artists draw known art/characters in their own style (you can check previous posts for preview). Umm… My passions are reading and writing and falling in love with fictional characters and worlds; my genre of preference is Fiction- Sci-Fi/Fantasy (which is my favorite genre to write as well), manga, comics/graphic novels (Sandman FTW!). I need drawing and coloring in my life, and love doing crafty things from origami to sculpting and sewing. I love cartoons and anime, I think I have seen over 40 animes (not sure if I should be ashamed). I won’t even go into movies and shows, let’s just say it is all within the same genre everyone would call geeky/nerdy. I am obsessed with unicorns, dragons, faeries and all sorts of mythical creatures and cute animals, hearts, stars, wings, rainbows, keys…

As almost every other person I like shopping, and collecting things I like, too. I love geeky handmade jewelry, which you will see me post about (shout-out to small businesses!), and clothing as well– though I am not a fan of clothes shopping. I love rambling about things I read and finding people to talk about them with.

So this is all that my world entails, many worlds, likes, and passions to explore.

The question is, what would you like to see? I have gotten messages to share my art, to share my collections… What do you, guys, like?

Do you like art? Stay tuned, I will be hosting giveaway from my Spooksieboo prints collection soon!! Everyone needs beautiful art in their life… as well as a tad of creepiness ❤

NYCC Part 1: Swag Warning!

17 Oct

After much debating on how to start my rambles on Comic-con, I decided to break it down to different posts and today I will show off the swag. Just to warn you: most of my swag consists of books. I LOVE BOOKS! Which means: I couldn’t stay away from the publishers… except for when I had to go and cover panels.

Let me preface it, though, by saying that there were a couple of things I really REALLY wanted: Greg Horn‘s Star Sapphire Wonder Woman and Joker & Harley prints, the Super Saiyan Scouters (red specially), Sailor Moon FigureArts action figure (which I was not able to get *tears*), a couple of Michael Bank’s prints from Sugar Fueled, Amanda Conner‘s Ame-Comi Wonder Woman and the new Harley Quinn prints, and a Tony S. Daniel sketch among a few other things. But enough with this, here are the pics.

All books were for kids on Sunday, so I barely even got a preview of the WINX CLUB comics– it was a major bummer!

Sadly, I didn’t get to meet Tony S. Daniel in person, but someone was lovely and got him to sketch my #1 issue of SUPERMAN & WONDER WOMAN. (Same person that got me the print!) ❤ Thank you!

CHOZEN promotional item they were throwing to the audience right after the panel– I still don’t know what it is for though.

Ale-BlackSails NYCC2013
And I got to take a picture at the BLACK SAILS Starz booth– I really liked how it came out.

This was it for the swag file this year. I loved meeting the authors that were lovely enough to sign my copies and talk to me. They were all so sweet. I got to meet and talk to: Andrea Cremer, Erin Morgenstern (I just loove her writing), Sarah Fine, Joseph Wallace, and Sean Howe…

Also thanks Greg Horn and Dave (his assistant) for being so cool and making my Saturday so amazing- FANGIRL ACHIEVEMENT: UNLOCKED! I’m so happy I got to meet him and Amanda Conner, who is the sweetest artist ever! As well as Michael Banks from Sugar Fueled. Also got to talk to J. Michael Straczynski, Michael Golden, Fred Van Lente, Ryan Dunlavey, and Doug Braithwaite. Thank you so much for making my NYCC 2013 Fangirl experience so wonderful. ❤

Post New York Comic-Con Depression

15 Oct

Hello guys! I am back and finally rested after four days of hard work at NYCC. It was definitely a great experience to be part of the reporting team for Bleeding Cool— I had a blast. It was great to see old friends I met last year when I worked as part of the NYCC Crew, and great to meet new people and make new friends along the way. I want to take this moment to thank Rich from Bleeding Cool for the opportunity.

Right now I am suffering from Comic-Con withdrawal and diagnosing myself with Post-NYCC Depression. I miss the noises, the costumes, the nice people and even the annoyances, but most of all I miss being in a sea of people that share my interests and likes.

I loved attending panels and meeting artists I have been following for quite a while now. Which I will go over in more details when I finish passing some pictures and documents and have the time to write a longer and generalized post about NYCC. It was, overall, a marvelous experience that I will never forget. In the meantime, though, I will share with you a couple of my Bleeding Cool highlights:

Men & Women of NYCC for Bleeding Cool

Kodansha Comics Rolls Out over a Dozen New Titles Including Sherlock Bones

50 Years of Doctor Who Liveblog (Which you’ll have to excuse some typos– thanks to my phone auto-correct)

Chills & Goosebumps With R.L. Stine at NYCC

Swag File #1 (and of course, you can tell it is me by the sheer amount of books since I couldn’t stay away from the publishers)

So yeah, I shall be rambling about my amazing experience to you, all, tonight. See you then!
